Fire-resistant (A1) and water-resistant MUXBOARD panel
MUXBOARD is an innovative interior finishing and insulation board that offers an excellent alternative to traditional materials such as plasterboard, calcium silicate, fibre cement and magnesium oxide. These boards can be used in a variety of ways, both indoors for insulating ceilings, floors and walls, and outdoors for cladding roofs and walls.
1. Moisture-resistant
- They are not sensitive to moisture and do not swell.
- Ideal for damp and wet areas, such as bathrooms, kitchens or cellars.
2. High mechanical strength
- Good compressive and flexural strength.
- Well suited to load-bearing walls or walls subject to heavy loads.
3. Mould-resistant
- Thanks to their water resistance and composition, Muxboard panels are completely mould-free.
4. Retains its shape and does not warp
- Unlike timber or plasterboard, they warp only slightly in response to changes in temperature or humidity.
5. Non-flammable (A1)
- Muxboard panels are classified as fire class A1 (DIN EN 13501-1).
- They do not burn, but actually act as fire retardants – which is a clear advantage in areas where safety is a priority.
6. Good sound insulation > 41dB
- Thanks to their dense structure, they offer better sound insulation properties than standard plasterboards.
7. Environmentally friendly and low-emission
- Does not contain formaldehyde, asbestos or solvents.
- MUXBOARD panels have low VOC levels (low levels of volatile organic compounds).
8. Easy to work with
- Cutting, screwing, gluing, levelling – just as with other boards.
- The surface is ready for painting or tiling.
9. Versatile use
- Suitable for plasterboard construction, interior cladding of façades, flooring systems, modular construction, container construction and many other applications.
